Biography
Ido Kanfi
עידו כנפי · Israeli singer-songwriter
An Israeli singer-songwriter who writes in Hebrew, straight out of real life: faith, heartbreak, love, struggle, and the choice to keep feeling.
From Ne'eman to Ido Kanfi
For years Ido performed and recorded under the stage name Ne'eman (Hebrew for "faithful"), a name that gave him a stage but also hid him. Today he sings under his own name, Ido Kanfi, in a more exposed and personal voice.
The music
Ido's writing does not try to impress; it tries to be precise: to catch the moment pain becomes a line, and the line becomes something people can sing together. The songs come from the gut, about vulnerability, faith, family and hope.
The debut album: Mishtagea Letova
Mishtagea Letova (roughly "going crazy for good") is built like a sky: twelve songs, one for each zodiac sign, and all of them together one world. The whole album is produced by Avi Toledano at Tesha Studio. Four singles from it are already out and the rest are on the way. The full album's release date has not been announced yet.
In my own words
You don't always have to hide what hurts. Sometimes that's exactly where the song begins.
